Three of our fighters stepped into the ring on Saturday 19 September, across two cards on the same night: NQ Beatdown and NQ After Dark.
Kalyn — first-round TKO
Kalyn came out firing at NQ Beatdown and did not let up. Relentless pressure from the opening bell, an onslaught his opponent could not match, and the referee stepped in during the first round. A TKO win and a big performance.
Kris — the main event
Kris took the main event against a tough opponent from Nukzu and went the full distance with him. It was a hard, honest fight, and his opponent was the better man on the night, taking it by decision.
Worth knowing what Kris gave up to be there: he went into that fight coming off the back of illness, and still went the distance in a main event. There is plenty to take from it, and we are proud of him for stepping in and giving it everything.
Jaylou — a split decision
Jaylou fought at NQ After Dark and put on a cracker from first bell to last. It was close the whole way, and close enough that the judges disagreed with each other — the win went the other way on a split decision. A big effort and a performance to be proud of.
